Hello, Bellingham small business networkers!
We’re trying something new and fun: a trail walk networking event followed by happy hour at Blue Abode Bar in Barkley Village. This activity fits in nicely with our founder Patti Rowlson’s personal goal of walking or running every day for 365 days. This walk will allow her to move another step closer to her goal while also providing you an opportunity to walk and talk with local business pros on a beautiful local trail. Sounds good, right?
Blue Abode Bar offers happy hour pricing all night on Thursdays to those who check in at their location before hitting the trail. They are ready, willing and able to accommodate our group, too.
The walk — from Barkley Village to the Alabama Hill bridge overlook and back — is roughly 2.5 miles, and the route is relatively flat. Wear casual, comfy clothes and shoes; workout wear is welcome and encouraged. We’ll hang out at Blue Abode after the walk for no-host sips and snacks. Hope to see you there!
Date: Thursday, May 31, 2018
Time: Arrive between 5:45 and 6 p.m. to check in
Place: The Blue Abode Bar, Barkley Village 2925 Newmarket Street, Suite 104, Bellingham, WA
Bring: Walking shoes and business cards
RSVP: Let us know you’re coming by sending a quick email to firstname.lastname@example.org. And, remember that we like meeting new faces, too. You can always bring a friend; the more the merrier.
What if it rains? We’re NW Washington dwellers; we don’t let a little drizzle stop us from doing fun stuff! Bring a rain jacket, bring an umbrella — we’re walking! If, however, the weather conditions appear to be dangerous — wind, lightning, torrential downpour — we’ll simply gather at the bar and enjoy happy hour.
