Did you know that right here in our small community of Bellingham, we have a world-renowned commercial photographer who has worked with the likes of Nestle Foods, American Express, Samsung, and dozens of other big names in the business world?
With more than 20 years of photography experience, Diane Padys recently set up her photography studio in Whatcom County and is busy snapping images for Northwest Washington businesses like Bellingham Alive! Magazine, Bellingham Technical College, The Greenhouse, Fat Pie Pizza, and Sustainable Connections.
Padys shoots images of all kinds, including products, architecture, people, and food (her passion and specialty). Over the years Diane’s work has won numerous awards including Artist of the Year Award (sponsored by Vanity Fair and Omega Watch) and the New York Art Directors Award.
Much of DPP’s success stems from her expertise in consulting, pre-production, art direction, and digital post-production work.
When you look at Diane Padys Photography photos, you immediately notice the crispness of the images and the striking use of lighting to highlight key elements in the subject. She also takes a creative approach to photographing products, such as comparing the elegant, clean color of a Staron Solid Surfaces countertop to natural vanilla ice cream.
Padys’ clients appreciate her for her flexibility and eye for creative quality. Erin Baker, President of Erin Baker’s Wholesome Baked Goods in Bellingham, hired Padys to help expand their market beyond the Pacific Northwest. She raves that “Diane Padys Photography definitely goes the extra mile. We look forward to collaborating again as we continue to expand our store and products down the line.”
